빌 비올라는 산 페르난도 왕립미술아카데미 미술관에서 열리는 전시 에서 The Quintet of the Silent (2000), Dolorosa (2000), Silent Mountain (2001), Surrender (2001) 작품을 선보인다. 이번 전시에는 빌 비올라를 비롯하여 왕립미술아카데미의 대표적인 컬렉션인 호세 데 리베라, 알론소 카노, 프란시스코 데 수르바란, 엘 그레코, 고야의 회화작품들과 페드로 데 메나의 조각 작품 가 함께 소개된다.

또한, 1월과 2월 스페인 마드리드 왕립 오페라 극장은 마크 피올레(음악 감독), 피터 셀라스(무대 감독)의 지휘 하에 리하르트 바그너의 오페라 <트리스탄과 이졸데>를 상연 예정이며, 이 오페라에서 빌 비올라의 비디오 인스톨레이션을 만나볼 수 있다.
[en diálogo] presents Bill Viola's The Quintet of the Silent (2000), Dolorosa (2000), Silent Mountain (2001) and Surrender (2001), accompanied by some of the most significant collections at the Academy - paintings by José de Ribera, Alonso Cano, Zurbarán, El Greco and Goya, as well as Dolorosa by Pedro de Mena.

During January and February, Teatro Real, Madrid will also host performances of Tristan und Isolde, an opera by Richard Wagner, with musical direction by Marc Piollet and stage direction by Peter Sellars, and video installation by Bill Viola.
