정연두는 메종 에르메스 도산 파크에서 11월 22일부터 12월 17일까지 열리는 컬렉션전 ‘쁘띠 아쉬(Petit h)’에 참가한다. 에르메스의 6대손인 파스칼 뮈사르(Pascale Mussard)가 2010년 탄생시킨 ‘쁘띠 아쉬’는 사용하고 남은 소재들과 브랜드의 노하우를 바탕으로 아티스트와 디자이너들이 한 곳에 모여 새로운 오브제들을 탄생시키는 크리에이티브한 워크샵으로, 파리에서 상시판매를 하는 한편 전세계적인 순회전시를 개최하고 있다. 이번 서울 전시를 위해 정연두는 계절의 변화와 아름다움을 마술적 신비로움으로 표현한 시노그래피를 선보이며 메종 에르메스 공간을 키네틱 아트가 가득한 곳으로 새롭게 변화시킨다. 2004년 에르메스 재단 미술상의 최종 3인작가로 선정되기도 했던 정연두는 현재 허구와 현실의 경계를 탐구하며, 사람들의 목소리에 귀기울이는 현대 미디어아티스트로 사진과 영상, 마술, 퍼포먼스 등의 다양한 매체를 통해 작품세계를 펼치고 있다.  

Yeondoo Jung is featured in the Petit h exhibition at the Maison Hermès Dosan Park in Seoul from November 22 to December 17, 2017. Created in 2010 by Pascale Mussard, a member from the 6th generation of the Hermès family, Petit h is a creative workshop where artists and designers come together to create new objet works with Hermès materials cutouts. Petit h is held on rotation across the world, while works that were on view at the exhibition are on sale at the Maison Hermès in Paris. For the Seoul exhibition, Yeondoo Jung presents a scenography that features the beauty of changing seasons in magical mystery, transforming the Maison Hermès Dosan Park into a kinetic art space. Jung, one of the three finalists of 2004 Hermès Foundation Missulsang, explores the border between reality and imagination and listens to the voices of people today through various mediums including photography, video, magic and performance.
